Introduction to Making Your Own Website – Basic HTML & CSS Coding

Introduction to Making Your Own Webpage

(This is an updated presentation that’s a bit more straightforward and has screen shots of what the webpages look like, 21 May 2012)

In order to make your own website you need to learn the basic language that websites are made from, HTML (Hypertext Markup Language).  To add some ‘style’ to your page you need another language called CSS (Cascading Style Sheets).

This is a slideshow of the html files used in the early sessions of the Rosscarbery Dojo on how to use HTML and CSS to make a simple website including: making a paragraph and a heading, using marquee, using CSS, including an image and including links.
