Meet the Maker – Kate O’Donovan

Earlier this year Clonakilty CoderDojo was one of 5 Dojo’s in Ireland selected to pilot the newly released Galileo Gen 2, the latest in a family of Arduino*-certified development boards based on Intel® architecture. 16 year old Kate O’Donovan was one of our enthusiasts who represented Clonakilty CoderDojo at the Dublin Maker event which took place in Trinity College Dublin on July 26th. Here is a great interview with Kate compiled by Michelle Molly of Intel Corporate Affairs.

We would like to take this opportunity also to thank Intel for giving CoderDojo the opportunity to participate in such an exciting and inspiring project and inviting us to be involved at the Dublin Maker event this year. We are looking forward to our new season at CoderDojo Clonakilty and continuing our work with the Galileo to see what other ideas it may bring and inspire. The future is very bright!!

CoderDojo Clonakilty will resume at the Quality Hotel on Friday 12th September at 6:30pm. Registration will commence at 9:30am on Saturday 6th September at http://coderdojoclonakilty.eventbrite.com.

If you have any questions or would like to get involved in mentoring please contact us at clonakilty@coderdojo.com.
We look forward to seeing you all again soon!
